Stroke Receiving Hospital

Ashley Regional Medical Center received the status of "Stroke Receiving Facility" from the Utah Department of Health.

Patients who have a stroke have a small window of opportunity for life-saving treatment. “Clot-busting” medications must be delivered within three hours to prevent further brain damage. The importance of appropriate medical care plays a huge part in this process.

Level IV Trauma Designation

This designation requires full time general surgery and orthopedic care through the hospital emergency room. All ancillary departments, including radiology, must meet certain criteria and standards for trauma patients, including how quickly certain types of x-rays can be completed. A trauma team is designated and trained to respond to trauma cases in the Emergency Room.

Recognize the Symptoms:

Two of the most common life-threatening emergencies are heart attacks and strokes. Timely treatment is crucial!
